Extra March Paycheck

Well, my extra paycheck was deposited.... $1006.46... a good 200 more then i thought it would be.... Which makes me wonder a little bit... i did have overtime on it.... but i don't think it should have been that much.... hmmmmm... payroll might have messed up... but if that's the case, the mistake will be "fixed" on the next paycheck... good thing i'm not really spending the money... because $800 is going to my moving out fund, like planned... the rest... well here's the story for the rest....

I went to get a consultation for the removal of my wisdom teeth.... with insurance it's going to cost me 750 (if i'm awake with just laughing gas....) 1000 if i'm knocked out.... I was planning on it being a couple hundread dollars [and set aside $500 for this and my vegas trip]..... so i'm on pinching pennies mode. I have no idea if i should be knocked out or gassed... i'm impacted on all 4.... the top ones havn't broken the surface yet... the bottom ones have....
eek! that's a lot of money!

i finally moved my 1400 from my retirement to my moving out fund.... made me sad.... but it had to be done....

I called my college.... i don't owe them 800 bucks.... maybe $137... but i won't find out until after spring break...

I still need to renew the virus software on my computer...

March is done

So, i've decided to end the month of March... The only thing i would possibly buy is groceries... and i've been out of this category for a while now... You'll all be proud, the last few Sundays when the group has gone out to dinner, i haven't gotten anything... Lately i found that i can't wait to eat that late, so i eat at home--which saves me money for one.... but even when i'm out i haven't been getting desert or a small salad, etc.

I had $101.30 left over for the month from my gas and maint fund... so that is now sitting in my ING Savings account for later expenditures for my car. Total in the account is now $141.32. I think i need 250 in there by May something for my next auto check up... but i'm not too sure.

I took the remaining "fun" and "basic" money left over and funnled it to my odds and ends savings account... The total in this account is now $61.55 From this I will probably pay for Caities birthday present and whatever it costs for my to go on my little overnight camping adventure. The rest of this money is starting to become an extra "oh crap" fund.... its a mini ef that helps the budget work out in the end when things get a little tighter, without making my efund drop.

I also won't be posting much because i'm taking some days off for work... won't be back till Friday morning... when i'll have that lovely extra paycheck... Which i'm hoping is at least $800.00.... anything over $800.00 will be sent to my auto loan because I really want to get debt free ASAP..... and to do that i need to earn an unplanned $844.17 by December's end.

I might owe my college $800.00... They may have extended me a refund that was too large... =( It's a good thing i save money and don't blow it because it's handed to me... lol.... ) But i need to call them... i'm not sure if all my scholarships have posted in full yet. If i owe, i hope i can put it on my Credit card and get the points for it... if not when i call them, i'll transfer the money to my account or something... but i hope they take a Credit Card... then i'm technically giving them 16.00 less.

Wednesday I have a consultation for my wisdom teeth exstraction... so i finally know how much its going to cost without what my insurance will cover....

Apartment Hunting

So, Dee and I went Apartment Hunting.... and it was awesome.... because we found a place that was way cheaper then the place we thought was cheaper... and its nice too...


But their "specials" and prices change all the time.... so its hit and miss... call a lot....


we might be able to get something for 1325-1400.... plus a standard 47 utilities.... plus electric and gas.

and if we get that place.... dee and I can Half the rent which saves me money. Woot.

Golden dollar

I finally got a golden dollar in a transaction without asking for one or attempting to get one... although it wasn't one of the new spiffy presidents... =(


i wish it was a spiffy pres.... I was at work and someone paid for something with it... so i changed it out of the drawer and put it in my wallet...

I like the idea of the dollar coin... won't get ruined in the washing machine... but i'll need to get a new wallet soon if i'm going to be keeping change... the change thing doesn't like to stay closed...

i think i'll ask my sister if she has an extra wallet

money's been crazy

It really has been... i'm pretty sure i'm off budget on a lot of stuff... and i can't seem to keep track of much... crazy crazy

i had to send transcripts from one college to another $5.00 bucks... i need to renue the virus softwear on my computer (which will be about 100...) .... so that's coming out of tuition money.... since my laptop is mainly for school.... i'll have to go do that monday.... or something....

My anime girl's birthday is also on monday... dunno what she wants... guess i'll have to venture out to the mall or ask or something... i'll call techie and see if i can get any ideas... but monday is PaRtAy!!!! woot

i sold some more books online... and got a check from half.com for some of my other selling stuff..... but i'm not sure how much is profit and how much i "owe" myself back in postage from the last pay stack... so instead of just putting the money aside for moving out, this month i'm gonna send it to my car.... and somehow my bofa account is back up to 500 despite the whole "lets make my efund 1,000 earlier then planned idea..."

So, i'm just gonna send whatever is over 500 to my car..... I also closed some sub accounts at ing and just made 2 savings and a checking over there... for the most part, i have one savings account for extra money left over from the budget... and one saving's account for extra gas money.

I moved my vegas/dental account to emigrant.... after i get my wisdom teeth pulled and spend some time in vegas, whatever is left is getting thrown at my car....

it's just all everywhere...

Drastic measures call for a new budget

After running the potential figures with my roommate... the place were checking out next saturday is out of her price bracket. But after talking, i've decided that i'm going to pay more in rent and we'll adjust her's as the months go by... I think i need to try and implement this new budget right now starting next month in order to make sure i can afford this change. Essentiallly i'll be paying $200 more a month, $100 more then i originally intended.

The new moved out budget looks like this: Assuming I make $1956 a month after taxes and don't have the second job...(which i will have) and it excluded my small pay raise in May...

I'll have the second job to throw money at the debt and to cover some furniture that i might not be able to get with the $3,000 i should have saved on move out day.

I figured that once the car payment goes away, I'll be able to take that $300.00 a month and be able to beef up the savings... since I really won't have a retirement fund... which makes me sad.

Plus when my roommate gets more income, well adjust how much she pays and how much i pay... which will be in our roommate contract and we've already discussed this briefly.

Inorder to make the new budget work, and get all the money for moving out, I'm going to need to fully fund my emergency fund... now Which i will do by taking some money from Bank of America ... It will take 42.11 to fund the account....

In order to make this now money go away... meaning it's not in an account making me feel better... but actually gone and not coming back.... (basically Renter's insurance 30, car payment 300, rent 850, and utilities 100) I'll be sending it off to my car.

which totals $1,280 a month before overtime... hopefully this will help with the pay off schedule too. With my efund fully funded, the $41 a month of savings will go to long term moving out.

Pay day

So, it's friday... it's payday!!!! woot


I was able to squeeze in a little overtime on this last paycheck. $1,064.24 was my net pay for the last 2 weeks so 86.24 was overtime and i sent half to my car, and half to moving out. I'll re-post updates once everything clears.

This month is an odd month for me because I'm technically getting 3 paychecks this month... So, i can't wait until i get the paycheck on the 31st... because the base pay for that one is going entirely to moving out.... If i keep "finding" more money to contribute to moving out (or really working more overtime) maybe i won't have to take that money from my retirment account.... which is one of the reason's i'm not sending all my overtime at my debt.... and the reasons i can't bear to remove the 1400 bucks from my retirement account into moving out...

Dunno if this is foolish rambling thoughts of me... hoping i won't have to use it... but oh well... only time can tell.

costco... i needed you yesterday

So... I went to the movies with my friends the other day and used the last movie ticket from costco that i had... and i made a mental note to pick up a few more when i was there next... problem...


i went to the movies again last night... without going to costco because i didn't have the time... i paid more.... sniff sniff.... but 300 was a pretty good movie and the company was nice too.

but now i need to go back to costco to pick up cheese, oatmeal, movie tickets, and maybe yogart.

I got 182.00 back from my state tax return...

I'm going to hold on to the state money and i put it in my vegas fund.... but i'm going to use the state money for my wisdom teeth removal... so i need to call and deal with that.

Pay Day! and march budget

Got me paid...(1084.73) and this month is the month i get the extra paycheck too! and as you can see, this gurlie worked some overtime! half is going to my car... half i'm saving for moving out... so $53.36 to my auto loan, $53.36 to moving out!!!! nice-ness

(btw... Dee has a refridgerator... and a freezer... so we don't have to buy one!!!!!).... which means less money to spend... wooot.
