Weekly Updates (Spending/Groceries, Job updates, & Money Goals)

My hunny... at Chipotle :)
Weekly Spending-ish
Sales tax went down on July 1st a % point so its nice to see that effected at the gas pump. I got to fill up my Toyota for $3.65 a gallon (I heart Costco)...

It also looks like Milk is slowly creeping back up in price. It's still under $5 for 2 gallons, but not by much. This week it was $4.99 for 2 gallons. About 2 weeks ago, it was $4.79. I'm just glad we go through it fast enough that it makes since for us to buy it at Costco. Speaking of price increases, Potatoes went from $0.98 to $1.49 for a bag... that's a 52% INCREASE.

Thankfully though, we also got tons of coupons in the mail for Fresh & Easy for the whole month as apart of a promo the city is doing for all its local businesses to encourage people to shop in their neighborhood and try new local restaurants. So we have plenty of $5 off $25 and $10 off $50 coupons to last us the month and into September. Also as apart of the business promo week, Chipotle did a buy one get one free so we took advantage of that since its one of my hubby's favorite places.

After our mid week surprises this week, See this post, I'm just glad we have SCB earning real money right now to help cover all the weird crud we keep finding! Needless to say we will be dipping into that paycheck to help store up and get us back on track. Even with the overtime I got on my paycheck yesterday, we will aren't current because we had to get SCB his pass card for our cruise in September...

Job &Work Updates:
I had some overtime on my last paycheck from working a special event for a few hours driving around shuttles. We plan to use this money towards my final AT&T cell phone bill for canceling my contact early...To cover SCB's old cell phone if we have to pay for it, and to help cover our huge electric bill this month... but it won't be able to cover all of our spending so we are glad we have SCB earning real money now :)

Money Goals:
We are still sitting pretty at $132.00 out of $350 in our Xbox fund... but next week we should be able to add more once we get the rest of our spending "caught up."
$132... of $350 saved...37.71% Saved
