South County Girl: What we spent in April

April is D... O..... N..... E.... Done!

Phew... I was wondering if this month was going to actually end. It seemed so long when we had that $900 car repair bill to handle... which actually came toward the beginning of the month because we wanted to get the repairs out of the way so we could buy bedroom furniture... so since we did the car repairs at the beginning of the month it meant that I had to wait for the paychecks to come in to clear it officially from our accounts and I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS...

I hate spending money before its in our checking account... but it wasn't just the car repair we had to worry about. The sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain (post to come on that one) so we had to fix that too... then there were running shoes for SCB... and the big birthday surprises which meant we ate out a bit more than we wanted to (we spent most of my fun money on eating out so its really worse than it shows below)... but somehow at the end of the month EVERYTHING balanced out and we didn't have to pull into savings... which is a miracle... But I will admit that we closed the month a few days early on the 28th so I could get groceries again and we are counting that as the start of May...

Our grocery and household average is getting closer to that $300 mark, but who knows if we can get it closer in May.
