I get another free gift card!

To keep our budget intact, I use a few online programs that give me free giftcards in exchange for viewing ads, taking surveys, or purchasing items through their site link up. This isn't a sponsored post BTW, I just like sharing simple ways to help reduce your everyday costs.

One of these little frugal hacks/programs I use is MyPoints. Every few days I get an ad in my email box or a survey to fill out and I earn anywhere from 5 to 50 points for clicking on the ad or answering there marketing questions. When I get about 3500-4000 points, I redeem them for free $25 gift card. I maybe spend 5 minuets a week if that and I generally get to redeem 2 or 3 free $25 gift cards a year.

I personally hate buying things for the house like dishwasher soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant, etc so I try and use my free gift cards for these purchases because it makes them less painful for me in the long run.

Last week I sent away for my second free $25 gift card to Target this year since we are getting low on a few household basics. Since i've been busy, I haven't been able to participate as much as I have in the past so I don't think i'll earn anymore gift cards for the rest of the year, but $50 free dollars is still a nice little reward for clicking on some ads and doing the occasional survey.
