Debt Update:
My fiance got 3 full days of work in this week... but was only able to cash 2 paychecks because he couldn't get back to Labor Ready before they closed on Friday to get his third check. We took $10 for fun money (Subway before church), and put the rest his earning to buy the computer parts he needed for his desktop... So there isn't a change in his progress this week... but hopefully next week we will see a nice chunk go away since maybe he'll have 6 paycheck to cash!
Fresh and Easy Update:
I forgot to post our last Fresh and Easy shopping trip from last week since I was really busy with work... But i'm on the ball for this week! When we left the store last week they didn't have any coupons for us to use for this week at the check out stands... and we didn't get any in the mail either. I had an e-mail from fresh and easy that they sent me from Memorial Day weekend with a $10 off $50 coupon that worked a couple days into June so we printed that off to use this week... and there weren't any coupons there in the store today for next week though... so we decided to stock up on meat and use this week to our advantage that way.
- Pork Chops ($2.49 lb) $7.49
- Chicken Breasts ($2.49 lb) $7.58
- Turkey Keilbossa $3.79 ----- an 18% increase from earlier this month when we got it for $3.19
- Watermelon $3.49
- Flour Tortillas ($0.98 each) $1.96
- Granola $2.98
- Hamburger buns $1.29
- Salad mix ($1.99 each) $3.98
- Penne pasta ($0.99 each) $1.98
- Mushrooms $1.89
- 2 cliff bars ($1.15 each) $2.30
- Cilantro $0.98
- Refried Beans ($0.99 each) $1.98
- Cream of chicken soup $0.49
- Alfredo sauce $1.99
- Apple Sauce $1.59
- Stuffing $1.29
- Carrots $0.98
- Tomatoes $0.98
- Eggs $1.99
- Yogurt ($2.79 each for 4 pack) $5.58
- Pepper Jack cheese (Sale, 2 for $5) $5.00
Total: $61.56, - $10 off $50 coupon (not including dairy), $51.56 (We used the $2 of fun money to get this under $50 for the week because the cliff bars were "fun" for SCB.
For next week, our shopping is up in the air. We actually have 2 Offermatic deals we can use for groceries ($5 off $25) for Trader Joes or Safeway (which means Vons/Pavillions)... but we only have our "staple prices" from Fresh and Easy. So if we notice we can spend $25 on things we need that are comparable in price, we may use those because I pass both stores on the way home from work.
We Know we will need to get Milk at Costco next week... and if will still get a $3 off $30 coupon in the ad for fresh and easy we may get just staples there and our produce at Henry's or Vons... At this point things are up in the air so we will have to comb the ads next week...
It also means no more convenience foods since we won't have a $10 coupon to use to add them into our budget.
