February Spending (2016)

Bought a couple more "play mats" for him and
built him a little outdoor play space for good
weather days.
Well, thanks to the fine folks over at frugalwoods, hubs and I took the plunge and decided to buy a mattress off the intranet...

It came from Amazon and was shipped directly to our condo and WE HAVE NEVER SLEPT BETTER... all for a fraction of the price.... It's awesome and the best $256.40 we have spent all year. I never would have considered buying a mattress off the internet, let alone a memory foam mattress but I'm so glad we did. We saved a ton of money and we both are getting a better quality of sleep.

It was a $pend-y month as we finally upgraded our computer monitors, purchased the new hard drive, and updated our router among other things.

In preparation for little guys first birthday, I got myself a new pair of running shoes. I can't wait to get back to it once I'm no longer pumping. I'm down to almost an hour and a half each day now, and its so freeing to not be tied down so much schedule wise.

Our new daycare has been working out great. They supply his meals 2 out of the 4 days a week and in May they will supply all his meals too (and its real food since its an in home daycare place) which makes me happy. It was a 5 week month for daycare so you'll notice that number is a little higher than last month.

All in all, minus the one time large purchases, we had a fairly good month. We made our goal of sending an extra $307 to our mortgage. If we keep this up, well have the desired equity when we want to sell and move in 4 years.

We went out for valentines day the day after and used some FREE massage passes I was able to get to enjoy a 30 minute couples massage. It was our first real massage and we were both in heaven afterwards. I think I know what were going to do for our anniversary now :)

We're planning a park birthday with family and some friends for little dude's birthday next month :) South County Boys parents are even driving down to see him so we are really excites.
