With any money that SCB does bring in, we will divert it towards one of our savings goals until we know for sure that he will be working steady again.
Starting with this month, my paychecks should drop down to around $1200.00 per pay period since SCB is now on my health insurance plan and I will not be able to cash out some of my unused cafeteria cash anymore. We have a little money from each paycheck that we can use to purchase something not in the budget or use to have a simple dinner out as a treat to help us stay sane.
Paycheck #1:
- Mortgage (P&I, Property taxes, MIP): $817.50
- HOA: $262.50
- Christmas Fund: $50.00
- Date Night/Spending Money: $70.00
Paycheck #2:
- Birthday Fund: $50.00
- Date Night/Spending Money: $70.00
- Gasoline/Car: $237.00
- Groceries: $250.00
- Insurance (2 Autos, earthquake, homeowners) $143.00
- Utility Bills (2 Cell Phones, Electricity, Internet: $230.00
- Roth IRA $220.00
You may have noticed that our new budget doesn't include any "giving" or charitable contributions. Until SCB is able to bring in a paycheck we will be donating our time, talents, and energies instead of our dollars.
Sorry about SCB's job, that really stinks.
