the hard truth about my fiance's job hunt

It hasn't amounted to much.

Every place he has applied (which has been many) has turned him down for the same reason. When he was 18 or so he did something stupid. he shoplifted and got caught.

While he did his probation and has walked the straight and narrow and has learned his lesson for good, it still shows up on his record... and people have been turning him away from jobs he would have gotten if it hadn't happened.

While we are still trying and still hunting and filling out applications, we may have to come to the reality that we will be a one income family until it falls off his record, or employment becomes better in California.

:(

  1. Perhaps DF could use this time to finish his degree? Also, I think it's great for young couples to be able to live on just one income. I know it's not fun to have it enforced in the way that you are, but you will be so thankful in the future if you don't need two incomes to cover the basics.
