He's been told by his current gig that they will give him 18 hours a week... still contractor.
He's still looking, but this is a huge sigh of relief for now. He'll be able to pay his bills now.
and hopfully those back taxes... maybe eliminate that one smaller credit card or not owe anything for next years taxes...
