freecycle

So i was reading someone's blog a few days ago... and they mentioned Freecycle.... you can check out their website here...

The idea behind freecycle is to keep good items out of the landfills.... the classic "someones trash is another person's treasure..."... everything must be free... no bartering allowed. You can even post messages about stuff you need too.

Well i went ahead and joined... read the countless emails on how to post and the rules and regulations for it... i figured i might use it down the line, after i moved out... well not the case.

Someone's husband got a new dell laptop case for x-mas (he wanted one with rollers) and won't be using his old case... which is practically new.....Well i broke my make-shift laptop bag last symester and i really needed one... but didn't want to buy one...

So i emailed the woman back and at 2:00pm i'm driving to her house... only 7 miles away from work and getting a laptop case for free!!!!! woot!!!! this was actually something i needed and asked for, for x-mas and did't get... now i'm getting it for free... how cool is that???? its amazing...

I look at this as light at the end of the tunnel... i lost a $13 target giftcard... i cna't find it anywhere... and this kind of totally makes up for it... i offically love freecycle...
