I called the friendly ppl at AAA and got my new auto quote (since they fudged the prices the first time) I really did think that was a high amount for auto insurance from me with no accidents and all ... and from a very friendly guy!
it would only be $1,183 a year. with all the same coverage and the like... plus i got friendly information on Renters insurance (ruffly 180 a year from AAA) which means i only have to put aside $100 a month again for car insurance.
And if i don't end up making 2,000 a month it won't hurt my auto loan... I have $44 unbudgeted! For the time being... im going to put the extra money not on my car loan... but rather in the offering. I do want to closly increase this so its 10% of my income... and this is way to slowly move in that direction. woot woot.
