September Budget

We might bite the bullet and get Eli a new car seat this month... He was already 26 inches at his last doctors appointment and his pediatrician thinks he **may** make it to 6 months in his infant seat, but its a stretch if he keeps up his growing patterns. Since he won't weigh enough for a booster model, we have to buy a converter so I'm really glad we didn't spend anything on his infant car seat (a hand me down from friends so all were out is the base that we picked up with gift cards from the baby shower)

Since we have an older model car seat at my mom's house (another freebie from friends) we will either trade that one in for a discount this month at Babies R Us, or buy one offline from Kohls with a 15% coupon if they let us since we'll get some kohl's cash out of the deal that we can use for some new pants for me (all that fits are yoga pants since I had to stop trying to loose weight-- my milk supply was suffering)... so that may happen this month with the profit share check (I'm so glad we keep that for one time expenditures throughout the year!)

Then we can sell the infant car seat and bases and stroller (its too bulky to carry up and down our front stairs to use so we plan to just get a smaller collapsible one) on-line to hopefully re-coup the cost of the converter (which will work for an infant if we have another baby), because we hope to get 2 of them since we both pick and drop Eli off at the "nanny's" house.

  1. http://www.walmart.com/ip/16932754?reviews_limit=7& is a great convertible car seat! It rearfaces til 40 pounds and then converts to a forward facing seat.
