April Budget

I'm meeting a pediatrician that takes my husband's insurance on Thursday in hopes of picking a doctor for Eli before he gets here... Since he's going to be an April baby, he'll be covered on Kaiser immediately after birth till the end of the month, so his initial appointments will probably be done with Kaiser... and then towards the end of the month we will add him to my husband's plan if we like this doctor so we can save some money.

I didn't get any answers from the doctor on Monday. They won't induce on Friday (they cancelled our Midnight Thursday "appointment"), but I have to go in for monitoring on either Thursday or Friday instead and depending on his activity, they may or may not choose to go ahead and induce so its just a waiting game at this point.

I've also come to the inevitable conclusion that I need to put more money each month in our grocery budget. We have been going over each month and I'd rather have the buffer written in than not at this point... So eventually I think it will be $350.00 when we transition over to BCBS of TX for insurance, but until things process and we see our pay stubs once the insurance changes have been made, everything is a rough calculation.

So we have 2 budgets for the month. They are almost entirely identical, with the exception of how much we get to put towards retirement, but thankfully since we don't have to pay daycare yet if the budget isn't perfect, we are still fine... Which is nice if my husband needs to take unpaid leave if I have a rough delivery.
