What we spent this month (March '14)

As I sit here and reflect back on everything we accomplished this month I keep finding myself feeling so blessed and in awe of the progress we have been able to make not only this month, but just the first quarter of 2014.

Financially we managed to get SCB's Roth IRA maxed out, get mine caught up, went on a vacation, and got to attend a wedding and a baby blessing... all while not completely blowing the budget while still letting my husband get some breathing room from "not spending."

Maybe we are truly finding balance in our finances... or maybe i'm just realizing when to give and take in our marriage when it comes to money and goals... but it is just so rewarding to see us accomplish things we had no idea how we would just a mere month or two ago!

I also didn't mention that we ended the month with $100.00 Cash Money in my wallet, earmarked for SCB to get running shoes. We haven't gotten them yet because he hasn't gone for a walk or a jog or a run of any type since I posted that blog about us trying to workout together... So here's to hoping he will get motivated soon because I have a colored C-Note set aside for him.
Date Night!

Despite ending the month on a sick note (my sore throat and SCB's horrible what-ever-it-was), I've found myself really getting back into my old blogging vibe again, (and without promising to stick to it), I'm hoping to revert back to my old normal posting M-F instead of just three times a week. So I hope you don't mind the extra posts since I feel like I've just got more to say lately... and a bunch of pending posts already ready to go to prove it... and I promise more Roxy cause who just doesn't love her, Right?
South County Boy has started working on some more DIY projects around the house, especially this last week coming back from vacation. I think as we continue towards next month's goals, these projects will continue since they all seem to be prep work for our bedroom remodel and the eventual cleaning out of our walk in closet for next years possible operation goober.
