Financial $$$ & Personal Goals End of April Re-cap

Pay off non-mortgage Debt
• Pay off Tile Loan -> $4,000.00 FTH Tax Return
• Pay off Home Depot -> $4,000.00 FTH Tax Return
GOT MY MONEY!!!! Will Pay off Home Depot on Monday!

Lower Mortgage to under $115,000.00
• @ $116,625.20 (1,625.20 to go)
Principle Payments:
January $137.07 +$60.00 | February $137.96 + $60.00 |March $138.82 +$60.00 |April $139.72 +$60.00 |

Get emergency fund to $8,400.00 (left to add $800.00)
Emergency fund now sits at $7,600.00
January $100 |February $100| March $100 |April $300.00. * I’m taking the $200.00 from my property tax refund and adding it to the balance in my BOFA checking account. I feel more comfortable with that account having more than $1,000.00 in it. So I’ve changed my Emergency fund goal to $8,400.00 so I still need to save $100.00 a month.

Contribute $5,000.00 to Roth IRA ($4,000.00 left to add)
January $250.00 | February $250.00 |March $250.00 | April $250.00

Car Fund (Save $250.00) (left to add $48.12)
This month I added $49.12 since I only filled up the car twice. The savings account now has a balance of: $541.88

Increase Networth to $60,000.00
• @$53,985 (change of $1,901 or 3.65% from last month)
This Month:
• I put $250 to the Roth IRA
• My employer 401a contributions: $28.48
• My Pension got a push: $123.08
• Paid down the mortgage this month by $199.72
• Saved some money into the car fund this month: $49.12
• Got my property tax refund from the County. Put $200.00 of it into the emergency fund.
• I puppy sat this month and used that money to pay for my hotel some clothes.

Personal Goals:

GET IN SHAPE
I succeeded again in not eating any red meat this month… and have shifted a lot of my grocery choices to organic… (and went over budget in the food department.)

But I blew the whole exercise regime… Fell off the marathon training ban wagon.
Time to get my gut and butt back in gear…

Give More
• Kiva- I made one Kiva loan in January (Mongolia), one in February (Sierra Leon) and one in March (Mali), and one in April (Tanzania). Plus I got $25.00 back from my CC rebates so that is set aside to fund a loan for May.
• Childshare – By participating in the Marathon I raised over $1,000.00 personally, ($2,540 as a team) to find kids good loving homes! I’m also networking with a child share rep about helping them plan their next fundraiser in June when I get back from my trip.
• LTG- =) I’ll be volunteering and doing more behind the scenes work here after april.

Track my spending

Somehow things worked out… not a clue how…

Read One book a Month
I’m still reading book 3: Captivating by John and Staci Eldredge
SO FAR I GIVE IT: 10 Stars/5 Stars

BOOK 4, 5, 6, & 7
I was having trouble getting into a novel and devouring it…I’d start a book and put it down… grab something else… attempt it… put it down… So my friend told me to pick up a certain book since he likes to read the same stuff I do occasionally. I had to find it in the teen section… and apparently the author wrote it when she was 13… (You’d have no clue a 13 year wrote it…) totally Fantasy… totally about a vampire… and a really short read. I devoured it… and it was Free from the library. I went back on Friday and picked up the next three in the series because my computer is busted so I can’t catch up on TV shows I missed this week. It’s dirty pleasure weekend!
